All morning we tried to decide if we wanted to go to a play or not and we finally decided we didn’t want to. We walked around for a while and ended up going to the Tate Modern, a modern art museum. Neither of us really liked it all that much because the art was absolutely weird, and we weren’t sure if it was really art. It had a great view of London though!

Then we headed to the Bourough Market which had a bunch of little restaurants that we walked around and looked at. It was fun to see all the different foods and we had a hard time choosing what to eat. We settled for a unique and cool Italian sandwich, and then we bought some cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious! It was hard to choose what kind of cheesecake we wanted because there were so many different kind. We then found a step to step to eat it all on, but it started to rain so we quickly gobbled it all up.

Next, we walked quite a while to the Imperial War Museum. There we looked at the World War 1 and the Holocaust exhibits, which were both really interesting. It’s crazy to think how much suffering went on during those times in history. It made me think about the refugees in the world today and how dangerous some parts of the world still are. What a sad, scary, terrible world they see with war at their front steps. I’m grateful for the view I have of safety, peace, and love in my own life.

Last, we took a tube train to Harrods, the most expensive store in the whole world. It was crazy to see all the different things even though they were all ridiculously expensive. They had a very extensive collection of toys as well, which was fun to explore. Problem was that everything there was super expensive as well. Of course, that is a problem for us, but there were other parents there with their children letting them choose whatever they wanted irrespective of cost. What a different world…

Then we ate at a nice Italian Restaurant, Lantipasto City. By this time it was a fairly heavy drizzle, so we were ready to get inside. The restaurant was located down this cool alleyway in the center of London near the London Bridge. Lee ordered a calzone which ended up being HUGE until he poked it with a knife then it flatened out. I ordered a creamy pasta, which was yummy.
Then we walked across the London Bridge to the nearby tube station, gave Lee’s remaining food to a homeless man on the bridge, and took a train back to the flat.
